As you can see, our average school attendance has been slipping since the start of term. Our attendance figure is important to us as OFSTED can’t grade our Behaviour as Good if our attendance figures are below the national expectation of 96%.

We appreciate that there has been a lot of sickness around recently and that some absences cannot be avoided.

Please help to keep your child’s individual attendance as high as possible by:-

  • Scheduling dental and doctor’s appointments outside school hours – a “Late” mark counts as an absence for that session.
  • Arriving promptly in time for school each day – a “Late” mark counts as an absence for that session.

Thank you for your help. Attendance at school is important – Your child’s individual scores make up our school score and every absence matters as lessons are planned as part of a weekly sequence and missing them can impact on your child’s understanding of a topic.
