As we mentioned in earlier newsletters, we will be marking the Queen’s 90th Birthday with some special activities on Friday 10th June, the Friday after half-term and the date that many other schools will be marking this event. On that day we will:-
• Be hosting a decorate a “Royal Cup Cake” competition. The children will be invited to decorate a cake at home (this is not compulsory) to bring in for judging on Friday 10th June. The cake should be of a standard cup-cake size, reflect the efforts of the children and be as regal as possible. Free entry to the competition.
• Be wearing red, white and / or blue or any combination of those colours – this is a free non-uniform day.
• Be enjoying a royal garden party organised by the school kitchen. Please could you return your letter as soon as possible if you have not already done so so that we can ensure that all children get the correct meal!
• Making class birthday cards to send to Buckingham Palace.
