As this is an Olympic year, Mrs. Pepper decided – with the support of the staff and children – to hold a specially-themed sports day. Wearing the flags of their allocated countries (thank you to our parents who did all of the necessary ironing), the children stood respectfully for the national anthems and then took part in a number of team competitions. The day was eventually won by Turkey after a lot of healthy competition. Especially impressive was the athletic prowess displayed in the toddlers, mums and dads races – an addition for the first time tour sports day and one which seems likely to be repeated in future years. Thank you to Mrs. Pepper for all of her innovation and hard work.
