Although we understand that all children are unique and have personal needs to be recognised, we also realise that at times certain children have special individual learning needs that must be met by the school. This will involve, in full consultation with parents and if necessary outside agencies, identifying these needs and making extra provision which is tailored to meet the needs of each identified child.
We recognise that the early identification of any learning difficulty is crucial to making the appropriate provision available. We are equally vigilant in the identification of children who are conspicuously more able than children of the same age.
The organisation of classes at Shoreside enables children's needs to be met within a flexible, supportive and stimulating learning environment.
